Summer Camp


The Sacramento Adventure Playground is excited to present a one-week summer camp in 2018!


Adventure Camp – Rockets

Ages: 6 – 15 years of Age*
When:  July 30 – August 3 (M-F)
Time: 9 AM – 12 PM**
Where: Sacramento Adventure Playground, 3301 37th Ave, Sacramento

Campers will spend a week learning to perfect a rocket made from a two-liter soda bottle. Powered by compressed air and water, these rockets can reach over 100 feet in height! Basic science and construction principles will be introduced, and a lot of trial and error will guide campers in their pursuit of the best rocket flight and descent.

Registration is $145 per camper

*Campers will be working mostly independently and need sufficient maturity and skill level to make progressive rocket improvements and sturdy builds using everyday materials found at the Playground.

**Drop-Off may occur 10 minutes prior to camp time and all campers must me picked up by 10 minutes past scheduled ending time. BONUS! Monday through Thursday La Familia is scheduled to host a FREE Summer Luncheon Program 11:30 AM – 2:15 PM. The Playground opens to the public Tuesday through Friday 2:15 – 6:30 PM. This means youth can be at the Maple Center the following hours: Monday 8:50 AM – 2:15 PM; Tuesday 8:50 AM – 6:30 PM; Wednesday 8:50 AM – 6:30 PM; Thursday 8:50 AM – 6:30 PM; Friday – No Summer Lunch. The Playground will offer a special program on Friday from 12 PM – 2:15 PM for an additional $10 per youth, making availability on this day 8:50 PM – 6:30 PM. (Campers must bring their own lunch on Friday.)
